Dorset was once among Britain's best kept secrets but is becoming increasingly well known for its excellent food, farmers' markets and specialist shops. Celebrity chefs such as Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Lesley Walters have homes and businesses close by and Mark Hix of the Ivy in London has recently opened a restaurant in Lyme Regis. The local pubs and restaurants cover the whole range of style and prices from the Relais et Chateaux restaurant at Summer Lodge in Evershot to the trendy beach café, The Hive at Burton Bradstock.

Some of the first class pubs include The Fox Inn at Corscombe, The Acorn Inn at Evershot, The Saxon Arms in Stratton, The Greyhound at Sydling St. Nicholas, and The Brace of Pheasants in Plush. West Bay's Riverside Restaurant is a must for seafood, or alternatively you might like to try the West Bay Hotel or the Bull Hotel in Bridport.

Even if you are really just looking for a comfortable Dorset Bed and Breakfast,  you might prefer to just sit back and stay put in the evening. Dinner is also available by prior arrangement (£25 per person). We'll also include a carafe of wine to make your meal that much more enjoyable. Locally sourced and organic food, when available, is very much the order of the day.

Breakfast is served either in the light and sunny bay window overlooking the garden or in the more intimate setting of the red room. Whether you like the full English breakfast or the lighter option of fresh fruit & yogurt, warm flaky croissants or a bowl of Dorset Cereals we understand the importance of a good breakfast setting you up for the rest of the day!
